Investing in care and sustainable energy

Installing solar panels is one thing, ensuring they continue to perform efficiently is another. In Sint-Truiden, that vision is now being put into practice. Together with Ronde Tafel 93 Sint-Truiden, Solar Assistance installed solar panels for Team Hope.

This week, Ronde Tafel 93 Sint-Truiden distributed €17,500 among two local projects focused on social impact and future-oriented solutions:

  • A first contribution of €2,500 went to Sint-Trudo Hospital, where the project focused on warm and compassionate oncology care will be further expanded. The emphasis is on additional guidance and support for patients and their families alongside medical treatment.
  • The largest investment, €15,000, went to Team Hope. The organization is using this budget to renovate its site while also investing in sustainable energy. The solar panels have already been installed.

For this installation, Team Hope partnered with Solar Assistance.

“As a company, we believe it is important to also fulfill our social responsibility,” says Jürgen Donné, CEO of Solar Assistance. “With projects like this, we are happy to contribute in a meaningful way. By using our expertise, we help organizations move forward today while also ensuring that their investment continues to deliver value in the long term.” The focus was therefore not only on the installation itself, but especially on ensuring a system that continues to perform optimally over time.

Increasing long-term performance
Many organizations invest in solar panels today but lose efficiency due to a lack of monitoring, maintenance, or technical follow-up. That is precisely where Solar Assistance plays a crucial role. “By combining technical support, monitoring, and maintenance, we ensure that installations continue to perform as intended and that energy losses are avoided,” explains Jürgen.

Especially grateful
Luc Jacobs, board member of Team Hope, especially emphasizes the way the collaboration came about. “We are extremely grateful for the way Ronde Tafel 93 Sint-Truiden and Solar Assistance work together with us. This is not simply the presentation of a cheque. They connect their network and sponsors with charitable organizations, which gives the support a much greater impact. That is what makes this collaboration so valuable.”
