Vangelooven Carrosserie

A roof renovation is the ideal moment to future-proof a building. However, once solar panels are involved, the situation becomes significantly more complex.

Problem

Due to the roof renovation, the entire solar installation had to be removed. The original setup was no longer compatible with the new roof structure, meaning a simple reinstallation was not an option.

The challenge was not only to dismantle and reinstall the system correctly, but also to improve the existing setup without introducing risks to the installation or the building.

Solution

Solar Assistance managed the full dismantling and reinstallation, rebuilding the system with an improved approach. The panels were safely removed, and a new, more robust mounting structure was installed to match the renovated roof.

In total, 90 panels were reinstalled, representing a capacity of 22.5 kWp. At the same time, the configuration was changed from a south-facing setup to an east-west orientation, allowing for a more balanced energy production throughout the day.

Today, Vangelooven Carrosserie benefits from an installation that not only fits perfectly with the new roof, but also performs more efficiently than before.
