Are you having a problem with your SMA inverter? If so, we recommend resetting the inverter. This means you must completely disconnect the solar panel installation from the grid (AC). We will explain in 5 simple steps how you can do this quickly and easily.
Step 1: Switch off the AC fuse for the solar panels
The AC fuse for your solar panels is the switch for your solar panels. This is usually located in the fuse box or in an additional cabinet containing your green energy meter.
Step 2: Pull the DC switch out of the inverter
The DC switch of your inverter can be found at the bottom of the inverter. With some types of SMA inverters, a kind of rod sticks out, while other types of SMA inverters have a hidden black block. You need to pull this DC switch out of the inverter.
Step 3: Wait for one minute
One inverter switches off faster than another. In most cases, this happens quite quickly, but it is still advisable to wait at least a minute to be sure that the inverter is completely switched off.
Step 4: Plug the DC switch back in
This is the switch you pulled out of the inverter in step two. Carefully plug it back into the inverter.
Step 5: Switch the AC fuse back on
This error code occurs when work is being carried out on the power grid nearby. As a safety measure, the inverter switches itself off. You must wait until the work is completed. After this, the inverter will restart automatically.
If you are not aware of any work in your area, you can always contact your grid operator for more information.
If the inverter still does not start after the work has been completed, please contact us.
