✓ Cleaning for businesses

Clean solar panels, full yield for your business

Dust, pollen, bird droppings, and industrial dirt create a layer over your panels. On a large commercial roof, that loss adds up quickly without anyone noticing. We clean your installation thoroughly and safely, using osmosis water and soft brushes or a cleaning robot.

Why cleaning pays off

Dirt costs yield, every single day

Dirty panels capture less light and therefore produce less power. Soiled panels easily yield 5 to 20 percent less, and in extreme cases, even more.

Rain doesn't solve it. Loose dust washes away, but bird droppings, pollen, moss, and residue remain. Moreover, on flat roofs, water stays at the bottom of the panel, where a dirt rim forms.

Industry and logistics

Agriculture

Roads and rail

Our methods

The right technique for every roof

We choose the method based on the size, the angle of inclination, and the accessibility of your installation. Always without chemical agents.

For most roofs

Osmosis water and soft brushes

Osmosis water is purified water without lime and minerals. It dissolves dirt and dries without streaks or limescale. With soft telescopic brushes, we also remove stubborn dirt without scratching the glass.

For large and hard-to-reach roofs

Cleaning robot

On large flat roofs and sloping surfaces, we deploy a cleaning robot. It works quickly, evenly, and safely. At Traflux, we cleaned 1,488 panels this way, including on a steep slope where manual work was dangerous.

What we never use

✕

No high-pressure cleaner

This damages the seals and the glass.

✕

No soap or chemical agents

These leave a greasy layer that attracts new dirt.

✕

No abrasive brushes

Our specialized equipment does not leave any scratches on the glass.

Our approach

How a cleaning process works

01

Pre-inspection

We assess how dirty your panels are, check for damage and shading, and determine the best method for your roof.

02

Planning in consultation

We schedule the cleaning at a time that suits your business, preferably when the panels are cool.

03

Thorough cleaning

With osmosis water and soft brushes or with the robot. Safe for your panels, your roof, and the environment.

04

Post-check

After cleaning, we perform a quick performance check. If we spot any damage or defects, we report them immediately.

Planning

How often should you have your panels cleaned?

For most commercial installations, one cleaning per year is sufficient. If your business is located next to a busy road, a field, or a production site, we schedule two. Spring and autumn are the best times.

Some manufacturers also require regular cleaning to maintain the warranty on your panels.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about cleaning

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should a commercial installation be cleaned?

At least once a year. In a dusty environment, such as near industry, agriculture, or a busy road, we recommend two cleanings per year.

Isn't rain enough to keep the panels clean?

No. Rain washes away loose dust, but bird droppings, pollen, and residue remain. On flat roofs, dirt also stays behind at the bottom edge of the panels.

What agents do you use?

Osmosis water and soft brushes, or a cleaning robot on large roofs. We do not use soap, chemical agents, or high-pressure cleaners, as these damage the glass and the seals.

When do you schedule the cleaning?

In consultation, so that your business operations are not hindered. Spring and autumn are ideal. We prefer to clean in the morning or evening, when the panels are not hot.

Does cleaning affect the warranty?

Some manufacturers require panels to be cleaned regularly to maintain the warranty. Periodic cleaning therefore also helps you to meet those conditions.

Do you also clean installations that you didn't install yourselves?

Yes. We clean installations of every brand and every installer, from an SME roof to a large logistics center.
